April is Spring on the Cape, and what better way to
kick start the '09 season than with a full roster of
April school vacation programming for the week of
April 17 through the 26th. All events are open to
Ocean Edge Club Members and Resort Guests. Here are the details:
Stay with us: Special Mansion Guest Rate
The Mansion at Ocean Edge is offering a special rate
of $99 mid week and $125 for the entire month of April. This
Special Mansion Rate includes hotel guest room accommodations
for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), and each
child eats free when accompanied by one paying adult per

Family Short Game Tune-up
Saturday, April 18, 4:00 - 5:30 PM
Here's a short game primer for all levels and
the whole family, guaranteed to sharpen your
skills. We've timed it to give you just enough
togetherness to keep everyone smiling. $10.00 per
adult, free for children 10 & under accompanied by adult.
Club-Fitting Day
Sunday, April 19, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
When was the last time you were fitted for clubs? If
you can't remember, take advantage of a complimentary
club fitting and start the season off right. Please
call the golf shop at (774) 323-6200, to schedule an
appointment with Michael Medeiros, Director
of Golf, or Chris Gallea, Associate Professional.
Golden Bear Three Day Junior Golf School
Tuesday, April 21 - Thursday, April 23, 2:00 - 3:30 PM
The 3-Day workshop is geared for children between the
ages of 7 - 14. Day 1 will concentrate on the short
game skill sets; putting & chipping fundamentals and
practice programs. Day 2 will be the development of
a full swing to balance; starting with the wedges, and
finishing up with the tee shot. Day 3 will focus our
attention on practice programs; to take your game from
the range to the course.
$65.00 per Junior for the 3-day program
Family Golf Tournament
Thursday, April 23, 4:00 PM Start
This adult/child tournament is a Selected Drive - Alternate
Shot format; 9-Hole Net Tournament. One adult can play with
multiple children, maximum of 3 per group. In the case of
an adult playing with more than one child, the parent's one
tee shot on the hole can count for all teams. Handicaps
will be assigned for children who do not have an established
handicap. Team Handicap is computed as 65% of the Adult + 35%
of the Child, then adjusted for 9 holes. Total team handicap
will be deducted from the actual score at the end of the round
to compute the Net Score.
$15.00 per team entry, $65.00 for Resort Guests
Teams will be divided into age groups of the children
Master's Division: ages 14 - 17, Player's Division: ages 10 - 13, Mini Tour: ages 9 & Under
Bear's Challenge Family Putting Contest
Friday, April 24, 3:30 - 5:30 PM
A putting contest for all ages. Challenge yourself, your
friends and family on the Bear's Putting Green "golf course" located
outside the Linx Clubhouse. We'll transform the putting
green into a 6-hole golf course with boundaries, hazards
and challenges galore. Players compete within their own
age group.
Adults, $10.00 per round; Cubs, $5.00 per round
Master's Division: ages 14 - 17, Player's Division: ages 10 - 13, Mini Tour: ages 9 & Under

Cardio Clinic
Start the 2009 tennis season off right with Cardio
Clinic, a 60-minute, fast paced, high energy workout
with drills and moves that will improve stamina, footwork, and
endurance and get you ready for your game.
Junior Tennis Clinic
Each session includes instruction, drills and games
followed by supervised matches. The camp focus is to
provide a fun environment, but also to help Juniors
work on their game under the supervision of our pros.

Wine (or Juice) and Dine with us: Family Friendly Dinners
To celebrate vacation week Ocean Edge will be
hosting two family themed buffet dinners. We'll
begin with a Mexican at The Mansion Kick-Off Vacay
Dinner on Saturday, April 18 and finish with Barbecue
at The Linx Tavern on Saturday, April 25. Buffet
dinners are $15.95 per person, and kids eat free
off the kids menu when accompanied by a paying
adult. Be sure to call in advance to guarantee
a reservation.
Swim with us: Weekday Pool Party at Fletcher Pool
Take a dip at Fletcher Pool and don't leave for
lunch. Enjoy a pizza party from 12:30 - 2, Monday,
April 20 through Friday, April 24. Pizza and soda
provided. For adult fun, the fitness room, exercise
classes, and spa treatments available daily. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
Complimentary Movies at the Mansion
Enjoy complimentary Family Friendly movies and popcorn
at the Mansion on Saturday & Sunday, April 18 & 19; Wednesday
April 22; and Friday & Sunday April 24th and 25th.
