You are cordially invited to take a trip... a trip back in time to the 1890s when our century-old Mansion estate was first inhabited by its founding family, The Nickersons.

The Nickerson were a wealthy family from the area and their name can be found throughout Cape Cod. The patriarch of the family, Samuel, was originally from Chatham. The Matriarch of the family, Matilda, was originally from Brewster. Their love grew into a family after relocating to Chicago and producing a sea of wealth. They used that wealth to build this Mansion on Cape Cod as a summer home for their son Roland. As the story goes, Samuel stood one morning on the bluff overlooking the water, “jabbed his gold-tipped cane into the ground, and declared that a house should be built there.” It was called Fieldstone Hall, a name that can still be found etching into our stone gate, and a domestic staff of nearly two dozen servants helped stage lavish parties for important guests. It is our mission to bring those parties back to life and we want you to be part of the experience.
Travel back in time to when the Nickerson family first inhabited the Mansion and began the century-old historic journey of what is now Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club. Enjoy an evening of fine dining with a delicious five-course dinner as the Nickersons would have in our decorated La Salette Lounge.
