Get ready to experience the first-ever Kentucky Derby Weekend at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club! Starting this Friday, we’re gearing up for the big horse race with cocktail workshops, hat designing, and other fun community events.

Derby Hat Design Workshop
Swing by Linx Tavern at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 30th - the evening before the Kentucky Derby - and create your own show-stopping fascinator. For $20 per person, guests can craft their own derby hat and see if their design holds up above the other hats the following night at an official Derby Hat contest, taking place at the Ocean Terrace.

Kentucky Derby Mixology Workshop
On Saturday, May 1st - the day of the race - head to Bayzo’s Pub at 5 pm for a special cocktail workshop at $25 per person, sponsored by our friends at Bulleit Bourbon. Learn how to make a delicious and refreshing Mint Julep (the official drink of the Kentucky Derby), an Oaks Lily (the official cocktail of the Kentucky Oaks), and a Brambleberry Mule (using the state fruit of Kentucky, the brambleberry).

The TV at the Ocean Terrace will begin broadcasting the action at 2:30 pm until the horn sounds off for the race at 6:30 pm. Don’t miss out on all the Derby season fun!
